Art in jammies. Madeleine and Claire love to color and do art projects.
Dressing up has become a daily activity. Sometimes it is a simple necklace (and play carseat, apparently) and other times they get decked out from head to toe.
This little trouble maker is crawling all over the place and in to everything.
Movie night! We love our movie nights. Madeleine and Claire really look forward to movie nights. We have been doing them on Friday nights. We have dinner and then the kids get in their jammies and we all watch a movie together. They think it is exciting to stay up "late" and have popcorn or candy.
In psych classes in college and in grad school the topic of nature vs nurture always came up. In raising these three girls I am often reminded of this topic because they are so similar yet so different in so many ways. Claire, like her Dad, is drawn to technology. She is much more interested in playing with our iPhones and the few electronic kid toys that we have than Madeleine is or ever has been. We went in to the Apple store one day and she did not want to leave. She threw a fit when I finally peeled her away from the iPad. Maybe this is nurture? Maybe being the second she was exposed to more technology at a younger age so she likes it more than Madeleine or maybe she was born with a predisposition to an interest in the monkey game on the iPad? Who knows. Either way I look forward to seeing if this interest continues.
Three in a tub
Bridget has a playdate with our neighbor Ben who is a couple of weeks older than her.
Another fun playdate with our friends and neighbors Morgan and Brennan. It is fun playing with them because they have completely different toys than us.
Sometimes they bring their weird boy toys with them and corrupt our baby. I think this thing is a light saber.
Madeleine with her Lite Brite from last Christmas.
Ball pit
Kids have had so much fun playing in a kiddie pool filled with balls. I got it for Bridget but the older two seem to have just as much fun.
Pirates
Yummy ribs
Warm days mean lots of time at the playground before it gets too cold.
This baby loves greek yogurt.
Just as I thought everything had a spot, priorities changed so we had to change the playroom to keep up. The girls spend so much time doing arts and crafts so we moved the table and made teh crafts more accessible. It is working really well.

One of my favorite times of day has been before dinner. The kids often do art in the kitchen while I cook. Some days it is picturesque like this. Other days there are screaming hungry children, something gets burned, etc. I like to think of the nice days, though.
