Yum Yum Cheerios

We decided to give Bridget Cheerios because she always just sits at the table watching the rest of us eat.  She still does not really eat baby food.  She spits most of it out or just keeps her mouth closed.  I am sure all the books would say that she isn't ready and she is way too young.  But I have pretty much stopped reading the books and stopped listening to the "suppose to do" advice.  I think babies and kids do things when they are ready and every child and family is different.  Bottom line I do what works for us.  And luckily, eating cheerios works for Bridget.  In fact, she couldn't get them in her mouth fast enough.  I put a bunch on her tray and at one point they were almost all gone.  I assumed she dropped them all but very few were on the floor and Byron hasn't touched a Cheerio in years.  He OD-ed on them when Madeleine was a baby.

oooh maybe this is what happened it all the Cheerios!
They are like little vultures, cute vultures.
Notice Madeleine's face... she is talking baby talk to Bridget.  She does this often and it is very cute.  Sometimes I think that Madeleine thinks it is her job to help take care of Bridget.  If Bridget starts crying in her swing (yes she still naps in a swing.  Like I said, we do what works) and I am upstairs Madeleine often gets to her before me.
