A Royal Wedding

Since Claire and Madeleine are the Queen's subjects I thought it was imperative that we watch the wedding and attend a wedding party. I was not really into the Royal Wedding until the morning of it. I could not stop watching!

Wave

Claire loves to wave. Here is a video from when she first started learning (about a week ago). She is much more confident now and waves at people all of the time. If someone waves to her she waves, if someone says hi she waves, and if someone just walks in the room she screams and waves. She is very friendly and usually very happy to see anyone and everyone.

Yoga

Madeleine does a yoga class on Friday mornings and I think Claire is jealous because she is always doing downward dog. I am not sure if she is trying to stand up or crawl or maybe she just needs a good stretch. Whatever it is, it is funny.

Playgroup at our house

It was a beautiful hot day today so we had playgroup outside. All the kids ran around and had a blast being outside.

Where are your hands

Claire still can't roll over! She can crawl but she can't roll and the reason is because the minute she is on her back she puts her hands behind her back. She sleeps in this position. The only think I can think of is that maybe this winter her hands were cold so she put them behind her back and now she is just use to doing it when she is on her back. Oh well. I am sure she won't go off to college still not knowing how to roll over.

Sneaky Spinach

Madeleine and I have a smoothie most mornings for breakfast and recently have been adding spinach. It is great because she does not even notice it and it is a great way to pack in some veggies first thing in the morning. One morning she did catch me adding it. She walked into the kitchen and screamed and then asked why there was lettuce in the smoothie. Once it was all blended up though she didn't mind.
Madeleine likes to sit on the counter and look through cookbooks while I cook. She also really likes to help me cook by adding stuff, measuring stuff, and tasting.

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny came and filled Madeleine's basket and left a few goodies for Claire (I forgot to buy her a basket).
All dressed up and ready for church.

After church we had a few friends over for an egg hunt and lunch. We were so happy to have a warm sunny day.
Looking for eggs...
The adults had some drinks and apps while the kids hunted for eggs.
After he kids found the plastic eggs the decorated some of the eggs we dyed a few days ago.
Claire enjoyed being outside.

Easter Eggs

Colin and Lauren came over today and we dyed Easter eggs. It was a fun activity to do with friends and they stayed interested in it for a lot longer than I thought they would. I am loving that Madeleine is at the age where she gets really into activities and excited about things.
They wanted to try an egg. I think that they were disappointed that the egg was no different once it was dyed.

Easter Egg Hunt

Hingham had an Easter egg hunt at the playground on Saturday. Madeleine had fun finding Easter eggs but she especially loved seeing the Easter Bunny.

Ice Cream

I have been wanting an ice cream maker for a while so on Friday I finally splurged and bought one. We have been having lots of fun this weekend trying it out. So far we have just made vanilla and strawberry. We plan to make a raspberry sorbet tonight. I knew the ice cream would be good but I did not realize just how good it would be. Even Madeleine said, "this is better than the ice cream shop and Red Mango." Since we go out for ice cream at least once a week we should make back the cost of the maker in a few weeks. Madeleine sat on the counter for the whole twenty minutes watching.
