Giving Madeleine and Claire some dried beans to "cook" with provide lots of kitchen entertainment.
Happy happy baby girl. Bridget is such a happy and easy going baby. She is so good at playing by herself and she loves watching Madeleine and Claire run around. She has to be watched much more closely now that she crawls because she likes to get into everything!
Bridget really enjoys her food. She does not like to miss a meal.
Madeleine has always liked to draw and color but lately she has been extra creative and has been spending a lot of time working on her creations. She did the below "map of the zoo" on her own. I was impressed that she even glued pages together to make it big enough.
Byron quickly discovered the best place to sit. I think falling food is his favorite part of having a baby in the house.
Claire has started to love looking at books. i found her in the playroom the other day with a stack of books. Madeleine still loves books and frequently "reads" them herself. She flips through the pages and makes up the story as she looks at pictures.
see those feet... they are Claire's. I found her asleep behind her chair one afternoon. I put her down for a nap and then I heard movement for a few minutes. After about an hour and a half I went in to wake her and to my surprise she wasn't in her bed but instead behind her rocking chair. Since this picture was taken about 2 weeks ago she has slept on the floor one other time that I know of for a nap. Strange little girl.
Madeleine has been such a good helper in the kitchen. She frequently asks if she can help me cook and is requesting to do more and more. I love having her help and I hope that she will keep wanting to cook with me for years and years.
