Charlotte's Bridesmaid lunch

Charlotte's bridesmaids lunch was at my Grandmother's old house. Our family friends now live in the house and helped host the party. Madeleine thought it was fun to go to an all girl party.

OKC Zoo

Madeleine was so excited to go to the Oklahoma City Zoo while we were in town for my cousin Charlotte's wedding. Madeleine was most excited to see the elephants. Especially the baby elephant. Unfortunately, she was a little disappointed because she thought it was going to be much smaller and did not consider the baby we saw to be a true baby elephant. It was sad to see her disappointed.

Tired Baby

Claire was so tired that she fell asleep while eating dinner.

It was too early to put her in bed so I put her in the playroom on the floor where she slept for 20 minutes.

Aquarium

The girls and I headed to the aquarium on Friday. they both had fun but Madeleine loved it. She lead the way and knew what she wanted to see. She was really interested in the sharks and turtles.

She had fun touching starfish and crabs. She had all sorts of questions for the guy working at the exhibit.

14 months old

Claire had her 12 month well visit today... a little late she weighed in at 22.5 lbs (53%) and her height was 31 4/3 inches (90%).

Fall activities

Madeleine started her Fall activities a couple of weeks ago. She is doing gymnastics on Monday and ballet on Tuesdays. A few of her friends are in her ballet class which makes it extra fun for her. It is the same class with the same teacher she did last year and she loves it. She also really likes gymnastics so far. She had a huge smile on her face the whole class.

Benji and Lauren get hitched!

We went to Benji and Lauren's wedding over the weekend. It was at a winery in Stonington Connecticut. It was a great wedding and so fun catching up with old friends.

Ice Cream Ice Cream!!

We were having dinner at our neighbor's house and the kids heard the ice cream truck so they of course ran outside to flag it down. Since we are on a cul de sac the ice cream truck doesn't ever drive by our house so this was extra exciting for Madeleine. decisions decisions...

First Day at Wilder

Madeleine had her first day at Wilder Nursery School today. She was so excited to go to school and when we got there she walked right into the classroom and started playing. When I picked her up she said she had fun and wanted to go back next week. She will be in school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Playgroup

After three and a half years of getting together Wednesday mornings we have moved our playgroup to Wednesday afternoons. The kids all have different school schedules but we were able to find a new time for the group. It still amazes me that this group started when Madeleine was 6 weeks old and we still get together every week. It is a great group of kids and Moms.

Mommy and Madeleine Day

Madeleine and I spent the day together on Sunday. It was so nice having some one on one time with her. We did some shopping for school clothes, had lunch, played, and went to a movie.

Words and Walking

Claire is walking most of the time. She is still a little wobbly but she gets around. She is so confident in her walking now that she carries big stuffed animals around the house.

She has also started saying a few words... Mama, Dada, Laura, dog, hot, bye, night night, out, no, rock, thank you, uh oh, ow (she says this with any minor discomfort), she attempts Madeleine but you wouldn't know it if you didn't know what she was saying.

Dinner with Friends

Heather invited us over to have dinner on her new patio. It was nice seeing friends and enjoying one of the last days of summer.
