Brave Girl

Katharine and Lee went up in a bi-plane our last night on MV. She was so brave and seemed to really like it. You have to be 4 to do it so we will see if Madeleine and Benjamin are as brave as Katharine next year.

Claire's first boat ride

Hard to believe Claire didn't go out on the boat until our last day on MV. She actually seemed to enjoy it and she loved swimming off of it. I can't get over how much she likes being in the water.

Some Silly Ones

Menemsha

We took the kids to Menemsha for lunch and to see the fishing boats. It was a hot sunny day in Vineyard Haven but overcast and chili in Menemsha.

Dinner with the Jays

We went over to the Jay's house for a cookout last week. The kids had fun playing outside after dinner.

Swimming

Here are a few swimming pictures. Claire loves the water. It is pretty cold so I expected her to cry at first but she does not even blink an eye. Madeleine has been having fun too but she is not as adventures as she was last year. Last year she would jump off the dock over and over again and put her head under. Now she is a little more timid. I guess I should sign both of them up for swimming when we get back. Okay, so these pictures do not show her being timid! Paul is pretty good at getting her to loosen up in the water

Lambert's Cove

We took the boat over to Lambert's Cove last weekend and swam/rowed to shore. We had a picnic, the kids played on the beach, and swam in the water. the water was perfect for them because it was warm, calm, and easy to walk into. Hopefully we can go back again before the month ends.

The Jay crew took Pete's new boat and came too.
