Martha's Vineyard

We headed over to Martha's Vineyard for a long weekend early Friday morning. Madeleine really enjoyed being on the ferry boat and since she is such an early riser getting up at 4:30 am to catch a 6:00 ferry did not even phase her.

We have three wheatens on MV this summer because my parents brought Phantom. They adopted Phantom last Fall. Here is a picture of theme posing nicely... but don't be fooled because they are not always this well behaved.

I bought Madeleine some floaties for the pool at our apartment and she loved them.

The ocean was a little colder then the heated pool!

Flying Horses

We took the kids to the Flying Horses Carousel this morning. It was built in 1876 and is one of the oldest carousel in America. Katharine and Madeleine had a great time. Benjamin was not so sure about it and chose to sit on a bench instead of one of the horses.

Brian was accepted to a graduate program in California so they will be moving there for at least the next five years. They had a celebration at Katie's parent's beach house over the weekend.

Madeleine was the only kid there but she had a ton of fun. I think she really enjoys being the center of everyone's attention. She can really ham it up!

New House

We finally closed on our new house!! We are so excited to finally own Willow Cir. Now we just have to wait a week and a half to move in. We are having the floors re finished, some new carpet put in the family room, and the entire interior painted. Over the weekend Paul did a little work in the yard, took some built ins out, and we moved some boxes and small things and put them in the basement. The basement is finished but we will be using it as storage until we get all unpacked.. which could take a while.

Desperate for chairs... on Friday we wanted to sit outside but had no chairs. There is a little tree house in the backyard that had two chairs in it so Paul hoisted Zoe up to fetch them.

First hair cut

I finally took madeleine to get her first hair cut today. She was so good! She sat perfect still the whole time and did not even mind when the woman was spraying her with water.

Showing off her new teddy bear... yup that is right I bribed her to get her! After her haircut we went to the toy store and I let her pick out a new toy. I tried to get her to choose something other than the teddy bear since we have about a thousand stuffed animals but she insisted.

Three Years

Pool

One thing we do like about our apartment is that it has a nice pool. Lauren and Molly came over today for a swim. It was hot a sunny and the girls had a great time. Madeleine swam for an hour before Lauren arrived and then for another hour with her. She is becoming quite the little fish.

The cups provided a lot of entertainment.

Boat Trip

Molly and Rich invited us out on their boat last night. We all had a lot of fun and really enjoyed being out on the water.

Bunny and Baby drying... Lauren threw her doll overboard so off course Madeleine had to do the same with her bunny. Luckily Rich was able to rescue them. Here they are drying out.
