Crazy Dancing Girls

Lauren and Madeleine are so happy and having so much fun in this video. I turned on music and Lauren immediately yelled, "lets dance."
Another cute one.

Hot Hot Beach Day

It was over 90 degrees today so we met up with some friends at the beach. It was so nice spending the day at the beach and getting some sun.

Wellesley Parade

We made an impromptu trip to Wellesley today and there happen to be a parade. We walked from the Kaplan's house to town and had lunch and then watched the parade.
Madeleine had fun waving and eating LOTS of candy. They kept throwing candy at all the kids so I am pretty sure Madeleine ate her weight in candy.
Funny creatures
Benjamin was good at collecting the candy that didn't quite make it within our reach.
Yum a lollipop!
Madeleine and Katharine test out double stroller for the first time. The don't look happy in this picture but they actually had a lot of fun sitting next to each other and playing. The stroller looks huge but it is really easy to push and maneuver.

Daddy's little girl.
Madeleine took the big bowl of chips off the table and took them over to her own little seat.
Bubbles with Rich.
Cute boys in orange.

First boat ride of the season

Our friends, Molly and Rich, invited us out on their boat last night. They picked us up at the marina in Hull and then we cruised around the Hingham/Hull/Weymouth area. Lauren and Madeleine had a blast on the boat. I was surprised by how much fun Madeleine had being on the boat. She has been talking about it all day. This summer will be great on Martha's Vineyard!

The only downside to going out on their boat... now Paul wants a boat!

Soon to be Big Sister

Things Madeleine has said recently that make me nervous about her being a big sister...
*
1) "Daddy, I don't want you to talk to Mommy." She has said this a couple of times when Paul is playing with her and starts talking to me.
2) "No Mommy, I don't want you to give Byron attention." She says this if we are playing and I start to pet or play with Byron too.
3) "I don't want the new baby to have my/use my _____." Madeleine started randomly claiming her stuff a couple of months ago. Every now and then she will state the above about something the baby can't have or do. Most of the time it is completely out of the blue.
*
I am not actually nervous. I think she will be a great big sister. She absolutely loves babies and she is so gentle and loving to her baby dolls. She just says some pretty funny things when she feels slighted.

Baby Poll

I just noticed the baby poll today... 7 people think we are having a girl and only 4 think it is a boy. I keep going back and forth on what I think it is. This week I am thinking it is a boy but that could be because we bought boy bedding over the weekend just in case. Paul said the other day he thinks it is a girl. It has actually been fun not knowing the sex and people don't pester me non-stop to tell them the name since we don't even know the sex. Anyway, only 7 1/2 more weeks until we meet this little one.

Little Artisit

Madeleine has been really into art lately. She asks to paint almost everyday and she seems to be going through a roll of paper on her easel every week.

Emma's B-day Party

Madeleine loves birthday parties!
She gets to eat yummy cake.
Chase bubbles
and play with friends... this is a funny one of her friend Colin acting mad.

24 hours away

I got up early Saturday morning to go see the girls I traveled to Australia with. We all met at Kiersten's house in New Haven Ct. It was a great little get away. It is hard to believe that I have known these girls for 7 years and that we have been able to see each other once or twice a year since Australia. Hopefully we will still be getting together in 30 years from now and hopefully someday we will go back to Brisbane together and re live our amazing 6 months.

Swimming

Paul has taken Madeleine to an indoor pool the past two days. Madeleine loved it so much. Good thing summer is right around the corner and she will get to swim a lot more.

Getting Closer

We close on our new house in 6 weeks!
And we meet this little one in 9 weeks!
I am trying to tell myself that 6 and 9 weeks will be here before we know it but it still feels a long ways off. We close on our new house on June 18 but we aren't going to move in until June 30 because we are having the floors done and the interior painted. Fingers crossed the baby does not come on the 30th... any day but the 30th is fine.

Zoo

Madeleine's playgroup took a field trip to the zoo on Wednesday. It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day for it. It was fun taking her this time because she knew all the animals and loved seeing them in real life. I did not get a lot of pictures but here are a few.
They loved looking at the sleeping lion.
Playing with the ostrich eggs.
Little carousel was as entertaining as the animals.

Dinner at the beach

We met some friends for dinner at the beach on Saturday night for dinner. It was a nice night and the kids and a blast having pizza on the beach.

Spring Festival at the farm

Madeleine looks at one of the horses
She loved petting the horses
until it made a sudden movement... then she got nervous.
One of the goats escaped! It was fun watching them try and get him back into the fenced area.
Watching the sheep being sheered.
Madeleine loved "driving" the various farm equipment.
I swear she finds a swing wherever she goes.
who knew a fence could be so entertaining.
