Gumboots

Madeleine loves her new Gumboots (aka rain boots). We bought them on Saturday morning and she has wanted to wear them every minute since then. When she woke up Sunday morning the first thing she wanted to do was put them on.

It was very cold yesterday so we spent the day inside doing lots of fun activities.

Silvia's Birthday Party

Madeleine's friend Silvia turned two last week. She had her birthday party at My Gym which Madeleine loved. All day today she has been saying, "I want to go to Silvia's birthday party."

Growing up fast

It seems like Madeleine is growing up so fast. She has really seemed to get older over the past month. She is talking all of the time and speaking in full sentences. If you say something to her she will remember it days later which can be good or bad.

She loves reading this giant nursery rhymes book. The book is so big and heavy and she will just sit on the couch or on the floor flipping through the pages. She was "reading" it for over half an hour the other day.

I bought her a couple of toys on my way home from work and she found the bag and snooped through it. Ever since Christmas she gets very excited to get a present.

First outdoor ride in her new wagon. She had so much fun and was very sad when it was time to get out. She is going to love going to the playground and for walks in it when it gets warmer.

Katie and Brian's wedding

Katie and Brian got married last night (New Year's Eve) in Boston. The wedding was beautiful and so much fun.

It snowed during the day while we were getting ready. It was the perfect amount of snow... not too much that it caused problems but enough to make it look beautiful.

Madeleine was the flower girl. She walked down the aisle holding my hand. She made it about half way then said, "I want to go back" and turned around. At that point I just picked her up and carried her the rest of the way.
