Packing!

We are all getting very excited that we leave on Friday! Madeleine can't wait to meet her cousins! I showed her pictures of Charlotte and then I would ask her where is Charlotte and she would smile and point at the screen. hmmm I hope she doesn't think Charlotte is a computer.

Weekend in CT

Katie, Jillian, Madeleine, and I met Zoe at her parent's house in Connecticut for the weekend. It was a fun and relaxing weekend away.
Madeleine found the toy box and climbed in. Madeleine and Katie admired the view.
Madeleine was very sleepy by the end of the day.

First Steps

Madeleine took her first steps today on her own. She took 3 steps towards me and then she did 4 steps the next time. She still does not have great balance so I think it will still be a while before she is actually walking. I am so happy that I got to see her first steps.

Here is a picture of her standing on her own. It is not easy to get pictures of her standing because she squats down to the floor pretty quickly.

Brian taught Madeleine what putting her hands on her head means. It would have been much cuter if he hadn't taught her while she was eating. Last time she saw Brian she immediately put her hands on her head.
Madeleine and Byron both playing with their teddy bears.

Toy Basket

Madeleine's babysitter put her in her toy basket and now she loves to climb in it herself.

11 Months

Madeleine has really changed in the past month. She seems so much more grown up and more aware of her environment. She points to things and seems to understand more. You can ask her where things are, like the light or Byron and she will point to them. She is into everything! She loves to climb the stairs and walk holding onto the furniture or hands. She says Mama and Dada and means it. She also seems to say hi and uh oh. I did not believe it at first but everyone keeps telling me she really is saying it. I am excited to see what the next few months will bring.

One way to play

Books!

For the first 10 months of her life Madeleine did not even know the book shelves existed. Now she clears them at least 3 times a day.
