Day One on MV

Elizabeth and I drove down to Woods Hole to catch an afternoon ferry. Our cars were stuffed full of kids, dogs, and a whole lot of gear.

Here is a picture of the Jeep all loaded up. I think Paul and I have one bag each and the rest is Madeleine's stuff.

All of my Dad's siblings and some of their children are on the Vineyard for the week.

Nathan playing golf. We have a floating green in the ocean that we hit golf balls too. Nathan hit it on his 3rd or 4Th try!

Nathan and Ben playing tennis... They lost to David and Irna! Elizabeth and I plan to take them on sometime this week.

Grandad helps Katharine try on her life jacket.

Madeleine spent a good chunk of the afternoon snuggled up with Lucinda.

Byron was worn out after his first day on MV! He was extra tired because he got a little too excited and fell off the end of the dock and had to swim all the way to shore.

Byron???

Yes that is Byron... He is about half the size!
I told the groomer that we are going to the beach for 5 weeks so he needs to be sheered like a sheep. He doesn't look too cute but at least he will be cool and dry quickly. I definitely think he is beach ready!

Family Reunion

We went to Vermont this weekend for a family reunion. We spent the weekend with about 90 of our relatives. It was a great weekend that went by way too fast.

We stayed at the Shire Motel which is a very charming place with excellent views. We always stay there and every time it is better than the last. .

Paul and Madeleine at Aunt Kitty's. We spent the majority of the weekend at Aunt Kitty's farm.

It was a good thing we had the tent because it was pouring! I think that one of the best things about the night was watching all of the little kids run around and play together. It is so fun watching the next generation of cousins. All the little ones, including Madeleine, had fun staying up late and getting to know their cousins.

Our Little Couch Potato

Paul and I were eating chips and Madeleine was starring at the bag and then she started fussing so I stood her up. She immediately grabbed the bag of chips and moved the bag towards her mouth. It was very funny.

Cute video

Here is a short video I took the other day of Madeleine "talking" and trying to eat her bunny blanket. She really likes the bunny blanket so it will probably be in a lot of pictures.

Finally a wall!

Finally the walls are starting to go up and it is looking more like an actual room.
I am a little worried though because he used epoxy (aka glue) which was used in the Big Dig and that turned out to be a disaster! I helped out a little with the gluing. Guard dogs
