TWO kids!

Elizabeth and Lee had to go to a wedding so Katharine came over around 2:00 and is spending the night. Having a toddler and a baby in the house is exhausting! Katharine kept us very busy and we had a lot of fun.

All afternoon she would sit down in the seat and then get stuck and need someone to lift her out.

Katharine emptied the toy basket downstairs and piled them on top of Paul.

Flowers!

I planted flowers for the first time today. I had no clue what I was doing and I don't think they look all that great. I probabaly should have read a gardening book or something before hand. Most of the flowers are purple because that was all that was left at Lowes. Apparently I missed the flower window so I pretty much bought all the flowers they had left. Which is sad because we have a LOT more gardening to do. Next year we will get an earlier start!

Madeleine was not very helpful with planting the flowers but she looked very cute in her flower dress!

He loves to be outside. Well he likes to be outside with us. The few times we have left him out there alone he just sits at the door or if he is tied up on a long leash he sits out there and cries.

We put Madeleine in bed with us most mornings because she wakes up at about 6:00. Occasionally she falls back to sleep in our bed. She looks so little and cute in our bed.

She has learned how to move things that are in her hands to her mouth.

Memorial Day Weekend

My friend Jess, one of the girls I studied abroad with, came for the long weekend.

We met Stephanie in Boston on Friday for shopping and lunch.

Jess was a little nervous about holding Madeleine so she just watched at first.

Then she gave it a go... She feels more comfortable holding chocolate! Traded in the chocolate spoon for the baby

Madeleine likes to flash people when she wears a dress.

This is something we will need to work on as she gets older!

On Sunday afternoon we had a BBQ. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun. Paul did a great job of cooking burgers, hot dogs, and corn on the grill.

She was sitting in it this morning and we had to go somewhere so I picked her up and she started screaming. It was not a sad or hungry cry it was a you made me really really mad cry. She definitely knows what she wants.

Madeleine had not napped all day so when she fell asleep on Sarah we told her she could not move until Madeleine woke up. Luckily for Sarah she did not sleep for too long.

Benji and Lauren came down after a long day of moving.

Benji is going to be in Boston doing an internship this summer so

hopefully we will get to see a lot more of them.
