Plastic Toys

Before I had a baby I was positive that I would never have a house full of plastic toys. Well, I was wrong! We already have several plastic things... a swing, a bouncy chair, and a thing she looks up at (I do not know what it is called). We also have a basement full of things for when she is a little older. I try and deal with all of the plastic by hiding it behind furniture when she is not using it.
*
She does not really like her bouncy seat. I think it is a little too overwhelming for her right now. I tried her in it this morning and she looked terrified and then she stared at the drawers next to her instead of the lights and monkeys moving around. Maybe we will try again in a week or so.
This is the worst plastic thing because it is big and noisy and there is so much going on. Too bad I hate it so much because we will have it for a long time because it turns into a thing she can sit with and then it turns into a table she can stand next to and play. Luckily I can hide it behind the couch when she is not using it. I really prefer her books and cute stuffed animals and CDs.

It's all about Daddy!

Byron waiting for Paul to get home.
Everyday around 5:00 Byron plants himself on the steps and waits for Paul. If he hears a car come up the road he runs around the house from window to window.

Ah! Daddy is home.

Madeleine sucking on her arm.

Madeleine now really likes to look at her toys. She especially likes the ones that make noise.

Byron napping next to Madeleine

Exhausted

Madeleine was exhausted from yesterdays day of moving. She slept for 8 hours Sunday night, then basically napped from 7:30 am until 3:00pm only waking up twice to quickly eat. I took her to the grocery store and when we got home I left her in her car seat because I did not want to wake her. She slept in her car seat for about 3 hours. She usually wakes up the minute we walk in the door.

Moving Day

Not our moving day! We, and by we I mean Paul, helped our friend Brian move into his new apartment in Quincy. We are really excited because he is now just ten minutes down the road.

Madeleine hanging out in the Uhaul.
Hanging out on the Dolly Brian and Paul trying to decide if the couches will fit through the window. They were two big for the door so they moved on to the window. Madeleine looking at them like they are crazy!

We love Sunday

My lazy little family...
Just kidding!
I love this picture. I took it on a Sunday morning a few weeks ago and never posted it. Our weekend mornings the past couple weeks have been pretty nice. We all sleep in and then we walk to Starbucks... you can't beat that!

Big Smiles

It is not easy getting a smile on camera. Madeleine has been smiling a lot more the past couple of days. In real life her smiles look more like smiles but she does not hold them for too long so it is hard to get a good pic.
Not smiling but still cute. Lets not forget Byron... Byron thinks having a baby in the house is exhausting! Byron is really good with Madeleine. If we are sitting on the floor he comes and sits next to us. He likes to try and lick her hands and feet and if she cries and he is in another room he comes running in. On Tuesday I had friends over so I tied him up outside. Madeleine started crying and he started barking. When she stopped he stopped. I think that he would still like to get ahold of all of her toys but other than that he has adjusted well to having a little baby around. We also now go on a lot more walks. I even think he is sick of going for walks! Yesterday he was so slow and I had to encourage him along and today we were at a stop light waiting to cross the street and he laid down. Lazy lazy!

Pretty in Pink

It was so nice today that Madeleine wore a dress. She has a lot of dresses so it is good that she can start wearing them before she out grows them.
*
For the past week Madeleine has taken a long morning nap in her swing. During the day she will only sleep in her swing, in the stroller while on a walk, or in someones arms. If she is put somewhere else she won't fall asleep and if she is already asleep and put in her bed or bassinet her eyes pop open.
Chatting with Daddy.
Madeleine loves to listen to her Daddy talk... it must be the accent!

Onesie...

Get use to seeing Madeleine in a onesie or naked. By the end of the day she has usually been stripped down because she gets so hot. It is amazing how much she sweats and how hot her little body gets. Is she dancing?
This is the funniest picture we have taken of Madeleine. I have no idea what she is doing! look at that belly!

Random Pics

YAY! Madeleine slept through the night last night. She slept from 10:00 pm to 5:30am. Hopefully she will start doing that most nights.

Naked Madeleine.
We went for a walk and Madeleine got hot so we stripped her down when we got home. She is the worlds hottest baby! She is not going to like the summer heat.
Madeleine has started to smile. She has to be in a really good mood and we have to get right in her face and smile and talk to her. She has a very cute smile and it is so fun to see her interacting with us. I tried to get a picture of her smiling but this is teh best I could do. Yummy fist. We went in to Boston on Saturday and went for a walk. Here is Paul and Byron at the Boston Common. On Sunday morning we walked to the Starbucks near our house. Madeleine took her morning napped teh whole time in her bassinet. Poor Byron had to wait outside while we sat in Starbucks and had a coffee.
